Typical tungsten content in the powders of ПВ type is 99,986 — 99,987 %
Tungsten mass content is determined by subtracting from the powder composition the sum of all metal contaminants, controlled by mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma ICP-MS (ICP-MS). Gas forming impurities C, O, N, H, S, F, Cl are not taken into consideration when calculating tungsten content.
Average particles size is calculated using Kozeny-Carmen method –the powder layer air is measured using the device of the ПСХ-8А type:
powder ПВ1 –0,8 -1,7 micron,
powder ПВ2 –3,8 - 6,0 micron
Mass content of the particles bigger than 4 micron in ПВ2 is 40% max (volume).
Powder tap density ПВ2 is 3,0-5,5 g/cm3.
